Cause of her death was chronic diarrhoea for a considerable time.2 Other names for Janet were NISBET, Janet 2 and NISBETT, Janet.3 General Notes: In 1841 Janet Nisbett was recorded living with her husband, Thomas, in Broughton Street, in the civil parish of St Mary's, Edinburgh. Her age was in the 40-44 years age group. No occupation was noted for her. As to whether she was born in the census county where she was living, her answer was 'No'. Medical Notes: John Smith MD, who saw Janet on 6 December 1857, certified the cause of death. Janet married Thomas NISBET Coachman and Coal Merchant, son of Robert NISBET and Christian WALLACE, on 15 May 1820 in Edinburgh parish, Edinburgh, Scotland.1 (Thomas NISBET Coachman and Coal Merchant was baptised on 12 June 1791 in Edrom Parish, Berwickshire, Scotland,6 died 5 February 1857 at 1.45 am in City Poor House, Craiglockhart, Colinton, Edinburgh, Scotland and was buried about 7 February 1857 in Newington Cemetery Extension, Edinburgh, Scotland 7.).
