Laird, 1493-1527, of Drum. 1 Alexander married Janet KEITH, daughter of Sir Gilbert KEITH 3rd of Inverugie, then of Ludquharn and Janet GRAHAM, by 8 July 1475.1 2 (Janet KEITH was born about 1460.) Marriage Notes: "Alexander Irvine succeeded his father in December, 1493, but had previously been in possession of Lunmay, Carness, and other lands in Buchan, which had been resigned to him by his father in 1475, at which time this Alexander Irvine was married to Janet, daughter of Keith of Ludquharn." Alexander next married Margaret CHALMER.3 (Margaret CHALMER was born about 1468 and died in 1532 3.) Marriage Notes: "He (Sir James Ogilvy) married, first, Margaret, eldest daughter of Sir Robert Innes of that Ilk; secondly, Margaret Chaumer, who, at Aberdeen on 1 October 1510, as widow of the deceased Sir James Ogilvy of Deskford, knight, had her terce adjudged to her out of the Fishings of Ythane." |
