According to the Brouchdearg MS., John Farquharson of Inverey, the famous Black Colonel, married a daughter of "Leacachy." She is called Mary in the "Braes of Mar." According to the Boharm Register, a Margaret Gordon married John Farquharson of Inverey, November 18, 1670. The fact that she had her son baptised (May 2, 1672) Patrick is suggestive of Captain Patrick Gordon of "Leachie" having been her father (or brother?).' 1 Margaret married John FARQUHARSON 3rd of Inverey, the 'Black Colonel', son of William FARQUHARSON 2nd of Inverey, and of Balmoral and Issabel FARQUHARSON, on 18 March 1670. (John FARQUHARSON 3rd of Inverey, the 'Black Colonel' was born about 1643 and died about 6 November 1705.)
