  Research Notes:

PATRICK OR GEORGE

Some sources name this man as George, some as Patrick. The latter seems more likely since he has a brother by general agreement who is George Gordon of Cocklarachie.

DEATH

Some sources maintain he was killed at Flodden in 1513, others that he was alive as per documents of 1519-1520. It may be that the Patrick alive in 1519-1520 was his father, Patrick of Johnnisleyis, and that he Patrick of Auchmenzie (called George by some), was killed in 1513.

Patrick married Katherine LUMSDEN, daughter of Robert LUMSDEN of Cushnie and Isobel FORBES.1 (Katherine LUMSDEN was born about 1491.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Of the daughters of Robert Lumsden of Cushnie, Marjory married Forbes of Corse (Bishop Patrick Forbes was her grandson) ; Eupham married Forbes of Newe ; Janet married James Skene of Bandodle, and was the mother of Sir John Skene of Curriehill ; and Katherine married Patrick Gordon of Auchmenzie."
