When his daughter, Margaret, died in 1900, her death certificate recorded Reverend Forbes as "Reverend Lewis William Forbes Minister of Boharm (deceased)". 3


Lewis married Penelope COWIE, daughter of George COWIE and Anne CHAMBERS, on 12 November 1816 in Boharm parish, Banffshire, Scotland.1 (Penelope COWIE was born on 15 October 1793 1, baptised on 19 October 1793 in Gamrie Parish, Banffshire, Scotland 1 and died on 12 September 1827 2.)


Lewis next married Elizabeth Mary YOUNG LESLIE of Kininvie on 20 October 1835 in Mortlach parish, Banffshire, Scotland.2 (Elizabeth Mary YOUNG LESLIE of Kininvie was born about 1810.)
