Margaret had a relationship with James IV STEWART King of Scots, son of James III STEWART King of Scots and Margaret.1 (James IV STEWART King of Scots was born 17 March 1472(1473) 3 and died on 9 September 1513 in Battle of Flodden Field, Northumberland, England 3.)

"Margaret, became, when very young, the mistress of King James IV., by whom she was mother of Alexander Stewart, Archbishop of St. Andrews and Chamberlain of Scotland .... and of Catherine, wife of James (Douglas), third Earl of Morton. She afterwards married John Mure of Rowallan .... Her influence with the King assisted the Boyds in recovering their position."

Margaret next married John MURE of Rowallan, son of John MURE of Rowallan and Elizabeth STEWART, by January 1498(sasine).1 2 (John MURE of Rowallan was born about 1477 and died on 9 September 1513 in Battle of Flodden Field, Northumberland, England 2.)

"John Mure of Rowallan succeeded his grandfather. He married Margaret Boyd, third daughter of Archibald Boyd of Bonshaw, brother to the Earl of Arran. This lady, in her youth, was mistress to James IV. She afterwards 'procured to herself the ward of the Laird of Rowallan, John Muir, and married him.' They had sasine of the lands of Warnockland, the gift of James IV., dated January 1498. They had issue"
