"Andrew Ker, born 1680, fourth son of Alexander K., min. of Grange; became schoolmaster of Grange 26th April 1691 to Sept. 1694; ord. to Walls and Flotta in 1701 ; trans, to Second Charge, Kirkwall, 2nd March 1704; trans, to Walls 5th March 1706, but not settled; called by the Presb. jure devoluto in 1722; trans, and adm. (after appeal to the Synod) 20th Feb. 1723; died 3rd March 1751. He marr. Oct. 1699, Elizabeth, daugh. of Alexander Ker, tenant of Drumnahoove, Kildrummy, and Ann Gordon, and had issue William; Isobel, born 28th July 1706 (marr. Patrick Grant, min. of Nigg); Andrew, born 17th March 1709; George, bom 8th Feb. 1712; Thomas; Elizabeth (marr. Walter Morison, min. of Deskford); Janet, died 3rd July l745."
