Robert married Daughter HAY, daughter of Alexander HAY 8th of Delgaty and Margaret INNES of Perkyock.¹ (Daughter HAY was born about 1554.)

  Marriage Notes:

Referring to the issue of Patrick Hay, son of Alexander Hay, 8th Laird of Delgaty, and Margaret Innes:

"A daughter, m. 1st . . . . Stewart of Bogg; 2nd, Robert Irvine of Fornet and Montcoffer, as his first wife. She is styled 'The Lady Bogg, daughter of Delgaty Hay' (J. Forbes Leslie. The Irvines of Drum, 187)."

Robert next married Margaret SKENE, daughter of Alexander SKENE Fiar of Skene and Margaret JOHNSTON, in 1604.² (Margaret SKENE was born about 1595.)

"Margaret, only daughter of Alexander Skene, married, in 1599, Duncan Forbes in Letter ; and in 1604 there is a contract of marriage between her and Mr. Robert Irving of Mincoffer. She married, thirdly, John Forbes of Leslie."
