Daughter married George LESLIE 4th of Kincraigie, son of Alexander LESLIE 3rd of Kincraigie and Margaret GORDON.1 (George LESLIE 4th of Kincraigie was born about 1505 and died in March 1562 1.) Marriage Notes: "George Leslie, fourth Laird of Kincraigie, who, as son and heir-apparent of Alexander Leslie of Kincraigie, obtained a grant from Queen Mary of the goods of John Strachan in Kincraigie forfeited by his absenting himself from the Queen's host at Roslin Muir, at the first siege of St. Andrews, at the raid of Langholm, and at the siege of Haddington; 18th July 1548. He also obtained a charter from George, Earl of Huntly, Lord Gordon and Badenoch, Chancellor of the whole realm of Scotland and Lieutenant of the North, of the lands of Kincraigie in the lordship of Tough, dated at Aberdeen, 14th April 1549 ; which charter was confirmed by King James VI. by a charter dated at Stirling, 26th February 1594. He married a daughter of Patrick Leith of Likliehead, but does not seem to have had any issue by her." |
