"The third son of the John who owned Invernettie, Belnabodach and Ledmacoy, also called John, succeeded his father in the last-named estate, married 1685 Jean, daughter of Arthur Anderson of Candacraig, and had issue, three sons: John, born 1692; William, born 1693; and Nathaniel, born 1697 ; and six daughters, of whom only one, Elizabeth, survived and married Ludovick Stewart ; he married, secondly, Marie Grant.(see Note below)"
