The Strathdon parish register of marriages for 1700 names Barbara Forbes, wife of Patrick Grant younger of Tullochgorum, as "Barbra forbes laull (with abbr) daughter to george forbes of Skelater". This would make Barbara a granddaughter of this laird rather than his daughter. ^{3 5}
