User ID: V155. General Notes: William Forbes sided with the King against the Covenanters in the Civil War. He fought with Montrose, commanding 200 men at the Battle of Alford 1646. William married Isobel FORBES, daughter of Alexander FORBES 4th of Newe and Janet ROBERTSON. (Isobel FORBES was born about 1615 and died in 1656.) Marriage Notes: "ALEXANDER FORBES of Easter Migvie Married John Calder of Migvie his Daughter who bear to him Alexander and William who dy'd without Succession And a Daughter Married to Lochermick." William had a relationship with Agnes MACINTOSH, daughter of William MACINTOSH 6th of Kyllachy and Marjory FARQUHARSON.1 (Agnes MACINTOSH was born about 1630.) Marriage Notes: "Grant and Forbes had married daughters of William Mackintosh of Killachie, and Ross and Campbell were related to Mackintosh himself on his mother's side."
