Elizabeth, daugh. of Alexander Murdoch of Cumloden, who survived him, and had with other issue Colonel William, progenitor of the Cardoness family, born 1663, died 16th June 1752; a daugh. (marr. James Gartshore, min. of Kilsyth); Barbara, fourth daugh. (marr., cont. 9th July and 1st Aug. 1695, Elias Cathcart, merchant, Ayr). [G. R.
