Catherine married Esme STEWART 3rd Duke of Lennox, son of Esmé STEWART 1st Duke of Lennox, Earl of Darnley, Lord D'Aubigny and Katherine DE BALSAC, in 1607.1 (Esme STEWART 3rd Duke of Lennox was born about 1579, died on 30 July 1624 in Kirkby, Northamptonshire, England 1 and was buried in 1624 in Westminster Abbey, London, England 1.). The cause of his death was spotted fever. Marriage Notes: "Esmé (Stewart), third Duke of Lennox, succeeded his brother in his Scottish titles only. He did homage to the King of France for Aubigny 8 April 1600, and was brought to Scotland in 1603. He was created, 7 June 1619, Earl of March and Lord Clifton of Leighton-Bromswold in England and K.G. He died at Kirkby, 30 July 1624, of spotted fever, and was buried in Westminster Abbey. He married in 1607 Catherine, daughter and heiress of Gervase, Lord Clifton of Leighton-Bromswold, who was married, secondly, about 1632, to James, second Earl of Abercorn, and died in Scotland, being buried 17 September 1637, and left issue" Catherine next married James HAMILTON 2nd Earl of Abercorn, 1st Baron Hamilton of Strabane, son of James HAMILTON 1st Earl of Abercorn and Marion BOYD, about 1632.1 (James HAMILTON 2nd Earl of Abercorn, 1st Baron Hamilton of Strabane was born about 1604.)
