Marriage Notes: "Jean (Carnegie). She was married, first, to Alexander, eldest son of Alexander, second Lord Spynie, but had no issue by him ..." Jean next married John LINDSAY Baron of Glenesk, son of Alexander LINDSAY of Canterland and Jean MURRAY, 9 August 1647(contract).1 (John LINDSAY Baron of Glenesk was born about 1610.) Marriage Notes: "Jean (Carnegie). She was married, first, to Alexander, eldest son of Alexander, second Lord Spynie, but had no issue by him ; and, secondly, to John Lindsay afterwards of Edzell (contract, in which she is styled Mistress of Spynie, dated 9 August 1647). Her tocher was 20,000 Scots." |
