Ann married Thomas MURRAY on 20 July 1850 in St John's RC parish, Portobello, Midlothian, Scotland.^{1 2} (Thomas MURRAY was born about 1829 in Ireland ⁵ and died in 1891 in Linlithgow parish, West Lothian, Scotland ⁴.)

Thomas Murray Labourer Crichton Moss, and Ann Murray, both residing in this Parish, gave up their names for Proclamation in order to marriage, on the 28^th of June 1850, and were twice Proclaimed on the 30^th, and once on the 7^th July, no objections offered they were married on the 15th (see Note below) by the Revd Mr Manticha Roman Catholic Priest Portobello."
