Marriage Notes: "Patrick Hay of Megginch, denounced along with his brother Peter and others, 6 May 1589, as rebels for the non-appearance to answer 'tuiching the allegeit practize leading to the subversioun of the trew religioun and perelling of his Hienes persone and estate.'l He married, first, Isabel, elder daughter and co-heir of Patrick Bryson of Pitcullane ; 2 secondly, Elizabeth, daughter of Patrick Cheyne of Essilmont. Patrick next married Isabel CHEYNE, daughter of Patrick CHEYNE 8th of Esslemont and Christian HEPBURN 'of Smeaton'.2 (Isabel CHEYNE was born about 1574.) Marriage Notes: From Oliver Cromwell he (George Hay of Killour) had a charter confirming a charter, dated 26 March 1656, by James, Lord Tullibardine, in favour of himself, Sir Andrew his son, and John, son of the said Sir Andrew.
