"Robert Innes was a contemporary of Kenneth Mackenzie in the medical profession, and also a member of the Town Council. He was a Bailie in 1693, and again in 1705. He was also Provost from 1717 to 1720, and from 1723 to 1726. He was of considerable standing, both in his own profession and as a public man. He died in 1726."
