Marie married Thomas JOHNSTON of Craig, Sheriff-Depute of Aberdeenshire, son of John JOHNSTON of that Ilk and Katherine LUNDIE.^{1 2} (Thomas JOHNSTON of Craig, Sheriff-Depute of Aberdeenshire was born about 1604, died in August 1656 and was buried in 1656 in Dyce parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.)

"Thomas Johnston of Craig, eldest son of the second marriage of John Johnston of that ilk with Catherine Lundy (and brother of Sir George Johnston, Bart.), got a charter in 1635. He married Mary, daughter of Kingoussie, by whom he had issue. - (Douglas's 'Baronage,' p. 38.) (I presume Kingoussie is intended for Khigcousssie. - J. F.)"
