Marie married Thomas JOHNSTON of Craig, Sheriff-Depute of Aberdeenshire, son of John JOHNSTON of that Ilk and Katherine LUNDIE.1 2 (Thomas JOHNSTON of Craig, Sheriff-Depute of Aberdeenshire was born about 1604, died in August 1656 and was buried in 1656 in Dyce parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.) Marriage Notes: "Thomas Johnston of Craig, eldest son of the second marriage of John Johnston of that ilk with Catherine Lundy (and brother of Sir George Johnston, Bart.), got a charter in 1635. He married Mary, daughter of Kingoussie, by whom he had issue. - (Douglas's 'Baronage,' p. 38.) (I presume Kingoussie is intended for Khigcousssie. - J. F.)" |
