Catherine married Sir David CARNEGIE of Pittarrow, 1st Baronet, son of Sir Alexander CARNEGIE of Pittarrow and Margaret ARBUTHNOTT, 29 October 1663(contract).1 (Sir David CARNEGIE of Pittarrow, 1st Baronet was born about 1641 and died in November 1708 1.)

"He (David Carnegie) married, first (contract 29 October 1663), Catherine, daughter of Sir Archibald Primrose of Carrington, Baronet, Lord Clerk Register, and afterwards Lord Justice-General of Scotland, who brought him a tocher of 15,000 merks. By her, who died in October 1677, he had issue"
