"John Grant in Auchasnick, Inverallan, Strathspey. As grandson of Patrick Grant of Tullochgorm, he was, on 25th July 1726, retoured heir-general to his uncle John Grant. He married Annie, daughter of Baillie of Dunean."

Note:
A history and genealogy of the family of Baillie of Dunain, on page 21, names the daughter of Alexander Baillie, 9th of Dunain, and Jean or Jane Mackenzie who married Grant of Glenmoriston as Anne:
"2. Anne Baillie, married Grant of Glenmorriston."
Other sources name her as Janet, but Baillie genealogy makes no mention of a Janet at all, of that laird or of his son William, the 10th of Dunain. In any case, the woman who married Glenmoriston was of an earlier generation than the woman who married John Grant of Auchasnick. 1
