"David was the eldest son and heir of John Ogilvy of that Ilk. In 1464, he had sasine of the lands of Dumcorty in Kincardineshire. In 1466 he was seised in Glengarne in Lanarkshire and in the following year he had sasine of the lands of Ogilvy in Angus and half the lands of Forgandenny in Perthshire.[Libri Respons.
