Other sources appear certain that the husband of Annabella Campbell was named Thomas, not James, Boswell. The 'damaged' nature of the document may account for this discrepancy.

Annabella next married Sir John CUNNINGHAM 4th of Caprington, son of Sir Adam CUNNINGHAM 3rd of Caprington and Unknown, 26 May 1525(charter).1 (Sir John CUNNINGHAM 4th of Caprington was born about 1490 and died in 1564.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Annabella (Campbell), married, first, to Thomas Boswell of Auchinleck, who was killed at Flodden 9 September 1513, and secondly, to John Cunningham of Caprington. They had a charter 26 May 1525. She died before 20 June 1575, when her testament was confirmed."
