"He (Robert Colville) married, before February 1450-51, Christian Crichton, daughter of Sir Robert Crichton of Sanquhar, who survived him, marrying, before 9 October 1466, as his first wife, Alexander Erskine, afterwards third Lord Erskine. She died between November 1477 and March 1477-78, as appears from a statement by her husband. Sir Robert had issue, so far as known, one son ..."
