Margaret married William CUNNINGHAM 9th Earl of Glencairn, son of William CUNNINGHAM 8th Earl of Glencairn and Janet KER.1 (William CUNNINGHAM 9th Earl of Glencairn was born about 1614, died on 30 May 1664 in Belton, East Lothian, Scotland 1 and was buried on 28 July 1664 in St Giles, Edinburgh, Scotland 1.)

"The Earl married, secondly, Margaret Montgomery, eldest daughter of Alexander, sixth Earl of Eglinton, born 20 February 1617 .... She died at Edinburgh, without issue by the Earl, 25 July 1665, and was buried beside her husband in St. Giles."
