Marriage Notes: William died at Faillie on the 22nd Nov. 1660, having lived long to see the restoration of monarchy in Britain in the person of Charles II. He was buried in the family burying-place at Petty. His wife was Margaret, daughter of Graham of Fintry - the house of which the famous Viscount Dundee was a cadet - and left issue Lachlan, his heir ; William ; Elizabeth, m. to Alexander Farquharson of Wardis or Wardhouse, afterwards, on his brother's death, of Invercauld ; and Jean, m. to Andrew Spalding of Essintillie. |
