In Gordons of Laggan and Achlochrach by J. M. Bulloch, the baptism date for this Cosmo Gordon is noted as 28 December 1752, that is in the same year as his brother Charles. This appears to be atypographical error as the baptismal registers show his year of baptism as 1748. 5
Cosmo married Magdalen GORDON, daughter of Captain Thomas GORDON of Foderletter, Jacobite 1745 and Isobell MACPHERSON.1 (Magdalen GORDON was baptised on 28 March 1742 in Kirkmichael and Tomintoul parish, Banffshire, Scotland 4 and died on 24 November 1796 5.)

"Magdalen [the youngest daughter] married Cosmo D. W. Gordon, Esq., surveyor of the 'King's Tobacco Warehouses, Custom House, London,' and left an only son, Thomas, deceased. [Note. - About the time Memo was written, Cosmo Gordon's name is given as 'Surveyor of the Warehouses among officers of the Custom House employed in the Tobacco business,' in the 'Royal Kalendar' or 'Annual Register' for 1805.
