Hugh married Elizabeth STEWART, daughter of Matthew STEWART 2nd Earl of Lennox and Elizabeth HAMILTON, by 14 October 1533.1 (Elizabeth STEWART was born about 1505.)

Note:
In the article about the Lennox Stewarts in The Scots Peerage, volume five, Sir Hugh Campbell's wife is named as Elizabeth. His daughter Margaret is reported as having a different marital history.
As seen above, however, Sir Hugh Campbell's wife is named as Margaret, not Elizabeth, in the Campbells of Loudoun article in the same volume. 1
Hugh next married Agnes DRUMMOND, daughter of Sir John DRUMMOND 2nd of Innerpeffray and Margaret STEWART.2 (Agnes DRUMMOND was born about 1533 and died 21 January 1589(1590) 2.)

He had charters of Trabeauch and Clonestang in Ayrshire 24 May 1545,' of Terrinzean in King's Kyle 10 August 1546, 2 of the Mains of Loudoun to him and Agnes Drummond his wife 26 July 1550, of the lands of Spangok in Renfrewshire on charter dated 1 July 1552 by George Campbell of Dunnowell, 3 of Auchinroglin and Fern in Ayrshire on charter by Mariota Nisbet, wife of John Lockhart.(pages 495-6)
He married, first, Margaret Stewart, second daughter of Matthew, second Earl of Lennox, and had issue ; and secondly, Agnes, daughter of Sir John Drummond of Innerpeffray, s.p. She survived him and was married, secondly (banns proclaimed at Eaglesham Kirk 31 May, 7 and 14 June 1562, dispensation 10 August 1562), as his second wife, to Hugh, third Earl of Eglinton ; 7 and thirdly (contract dated 15 November 1585), to Patrick, third Lord Drummond, and died 21 January 1589-90..(page 496
