"He (Walter Ker of Caverton) is said to have married, first, Isabel, daughter of John, Lord Hay of Yester, but the dates will not admit of this, and the name of his first wife is uncertain ; secondly, after 1487, Agnes Crichton, daughter of William, Lord Crichton, Chancellor of Scotland, and widow of Alexander, Lord Glamis. It is probable, judging from dates, that Walter Ker's children were by his first marriage. He had issue"

Walter next married Agnes CRICHTON, daughter of William CRICHTON of that Ilk, Lord Crichton, Chancellor of Scotland and Agnes, after 20 October 1487.1 2 (Agnes CRICHTON was born about 1430.)
