"James Elphinstone of Glack (husband of Jean Leslie), who in 1669 represented the Burgh of Inverurie in
the Scottish Parliament, was. in 1671, along with his son John, admitted a burgess of Inverurie ; another son, Alexander, getting the same honour in Aberdeen in 1681. The Laird in 1688 (this John Elphinstone) was a subscriber towards the new building at King's College. Infeft in Glack in 1670, he had settled a portion of it in 1676 upon his son John, who succeeded to the whole before 1690."
