General Notes: "James Elphinstone of Glack (husband of Jean Leslie), who in 1669 represented the Burgh of Inverurie in the Scottish Parliament, was. in 1671, along with his son John, admitted a burgess of Inverurie ; another son, Alexander, getting the same honour in Aberdeen in 1681. The Laird in 1688 (this John Elphinstone) was a subscriber towards the new building at King's College. Infeft in Glack in 1670, he had settled a portion of it in 1676 upon his son John, who succeeded to the whole before 1690." John married Anna IRVINE, daughter of James IRVINE 2nd of Artamford and Anne KEITH.1 (Anna IRVINE was born about 1641.)
