He made his residence in the Canongate, Edinburgh, where he died in 1699, aged about 51. He marr. 12th Nov. 1685, Elizabeth, daugh. of William Penman, min. of Morebattle, who survived him, and had issue James; Robert; William; Mary. [Edin. Reg. (Bapt. and Marr.); MS.
