"ROBERT RAMSAY, son of James, Bishop of Dunblane; M.A. (Edinburgh 1668); licen. by Alexander, Bishop of Edinburgh, 21st May 1673; adm. to Port of Menteith, 26th Jan. 1682; trans, and adm. 19th Oct. 1682; deprived by the Committee of Estates 10th May 1689. He made his residence in the Canongate, Edinburgh, where he died in 1699, aged about 51. He marr. 12th Nov. 1685, Elizabeth, daugh. of William Penman, min. of Morebattle, who survived him, and had issue James; Robert; William; Mary. [Edin. Reg. (Bapt. and Marr.); MS.
