Margaret may be the daughter of John Gordon of Allachie who was baptised in Aberlour parish in 1715. Her brother James was the Minister of Cabrach parish from 1747 until his death in 1795. ^{3 4}

Margaret married Alexander GORDON in Haddoch, Cabrach parish, son of Peter GORDON in Haddoch (Cabrach) and Bessie GORDON. (Alexander GORDON in Haddoch, Cabrach parish was born about 1703.)
