Jane married General John GORDON Royal Engineers, son of Lieutenant Colonel John GORDON of the 92nd Highlanders and Elizabeth SUTOR, in 1858 in Glenmuick, Tullich and Glengairn parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.¹ (General John GORDON Royal Engineers was baptised on 1 January 1789 in Gartly parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland,⁴ died in 1861 in Culdrain, Aberdeenshire, Scotland ² and was buried in 1861 in Drumblade parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland ².)

"He (John, the other son, was a General in the Royal Engineers) was twice married - first, to a daughter of Rev. Dr. Skene Ogilvy, Minister of Old Machar; and, secondly, to Jane, daughter of Andrew Macpherson, Gibston, Huntly."
