from Scots Peerage (vol 4)

"He (George Allardice) married Lady Anne Ogilvy, eldest daughter of James, fourth Earl of Findlater and Seafield, Lord High Chancellor of Scotland. George died October 17, 1709, and was buried at Arbuthnot. His wife died August 27, 1735, and was interred in the abbey church of Holyroodhouse."

from The Allardyce Family

Note:
The fourth earl's daughter named Anna was baptised in 1691, so was born too late for this marriage. The wife of George Allardice was the daughter of the third earl, and sister of the fourth earl.

In
Scots Peerage, volume four, 'Findlater, it is stated that Anna and others were children of Colonel Patrick Ogilvy, and therefore grandchaildren of the third earl, but this is corrected in volume nine of the same series, page 90:

"
p. 37, 1. 8, for ' 1698 ' read ' 1692 (Ibid.).' Note. The above were children
not of Col. Patrick but of the third Earl." 1 2 3
