Thanks to Mike Wade for highlighting the above reference, as well as much other information surrounding David Strachan of Carmyllie and his various wives and offspring. In his email he comments on the name of David Strachan's spouse:


"d) TSP Vol 8, page 57, says that Mary Carnegie married 'Strachan of Carmyle', and that her sister Christian Carnegie is mentioned only in her father's will - the latter statement is clearly false, so I think Mary and Christian have been confused." 1 2 6
