User ID: M264. General Notes: The census of 1871 recorded William Duncan, a flesher by trade, aged 35 years and born in Fyvie parish Aberdeenshire, living at 38 High Street Aberlour, Moray. With him lived his wife Mary, aged 26 years, and their children Isabella and William. William married Mary HARDIE, daughter of William HARDIE Farmer, and Fiddler and Mary STRACHEN, on 2 July 1867 in Ordiquihill parish, Banffshire, Scotland.1 2 (Mary HARDIE was born about 1844 in Methlick parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland,4 died on 3 January 1897 in Plainwells, New Machar parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 3 5 and was buried in 1897 in Methlick parish Churchyard, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 5.).
