  General Notes:

No baptism record has been found for Robert Hardie.

The 1841 census for Methlick in Aberdeenshire recorded Robert Hardie living with his family at Auchencrieve. He was aged 22 months and was born in Aberdeenshire.

Robert Hardie was living at Goosepools in Methlick Parish, Aberdeenshire, when the census for Scotland in 1851 was taken. He was, in that census list, the fourth eldest of nine children. John was recorded as 10 years old, the same age recorded for his brother John, and recorded as born in Methlick, Aberdeenshire. He was a scholar.

Robert Hardie's death certificate recorded him as a millwright and house carpenter. His age at death was 28 years and he was unmarried.

  Medical Notes:

Robert had no qualified medical attendant.

His father, William, who was present where he died, gave notice of his death at Methlick on 4 May 1868.
