In the 1742 entry of baptism in the parish register Elizabeth's mother's name is recorded as Agnes Cassells.
In her son Alexander's 1857 death certificate the registrar makes clear that Gartshore was Elizabeth's maiden surname as well as her married name. Oddly she is not recorded as deceased though she must undoubtedly have been. 3
Elizabeth married John GARTSHORE (DNA Link), son of John GARTSHORE (DNA Link) and Janet CUNNIBURGH. (John GARTSHORE (DNA Link) was baptised on 30 November 1735 in Cumbernauld parish, Dunbartonshire, Scotland 1.)
