The 1861 census for Shotts parish Lanarkshire recorded Christina T Strang, now a widow, living in Harthill village with her two daughters Agnes, a tambourer, and Christina. Three male lodgers were also members of the household.
When Christian died in 1907 her death certificate recorded her as 91 years old, and the widow of George Strang, coalminer. Her parents were deceased. 3 6

Andrew Strang, who was present where his mother died, gave notice of her death before the registrar at Harthill on 7 February 1907. 3
Christian married George STRANG, son of Andrew STRANG and Margaret GEDDES. (George STRANG was born on 12 October 1817 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland,2 4 5 died on 27 October 1852 7 and was buried in 1852 in Whitburn South Churchyard, West Lothian, Scotland 7.)
