Elizabeth married Thomas BALLANTINE, son of Robert BALLANTYNE and Elizabeth SHEARER, on 31 December 1884 in Cluny Lye, Kinglassie, Fife, Scotland.1 (Thomas BALLANTINE was born on 30 June 1859 in Chapelhall, Holytown district, Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland 5 6 7 8 9 and died on 29 May 1935 in 58 East High Street, Buckhaven, Fife, Scotland.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated on the last day of 1884 according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. William Thompson, Minister at Kinglassie, was the officiant. The witnesses were James Greenwood and Alexa G. Clark.

Thomas Ballantyne was a coal miner, aged 25 years, of Cluny Lye. His father was deceased.

Elizabeth Clark, also of Cluny Lye, was a domestic servant aged 19 years.

Both parties were single.

The marriage was registered on 2 January 1885. 1
