Joseph Bell White was a blacksmith by trade. He was a 34 year old bachelor living at Cowies (?) Square Craigneuk. His father was deceased.

Alice gartshore, a domestic servant, was 30 years old and single. She lived at 316 Craigneuk Street Dalziel.

The marriage was registered in Dalziel parish on 2 March 1906.
