Annie's son, John Gartshore, of 126 Kippen Street Airdrie, gave notice of his mother's death before the registrar at Prestonpans on 27 November 1911. ^{5 6}

John married Jeanie POLLOCK, daughter of Alexander POLLOCK and Isabella McARTHUR, on 26 October 1877 in 61 Flowerhill Street, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Jeanie POLLOCK was born in 1859 in Airdrie or New Monkland parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ^{8 11 12} and died on 3 May 1936 in Airdrie or New Monkland parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ¹³.)

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. John Campbell D.D. Minister of Airdrie parish officiated. The witnesses were George Pollock and Isabella Anderson.

John Gartshore was a bachelor aged 18 years. He lived at Waddell's Place in Airdrie and worked as an iron moulder.

Jane Pollock was also 18 years old and unmarried. She was a House manager and lived at 61 Flowerhill Street, Airdrie.
