Ellen married Henry McCONVILLE, son of Patrick McCONVILLE and Bridget McGLADE, on 14 July 1870 in St Margaret's RC Church, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Henry McCONVILLE was born on 7 May 1845 in Old Monkland Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ^{2 3}, baptised on 15 May 1845 in St Margaret's RC parish, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁴ and died on 16 February 1915 in Ballside Quarry, Bellshill, Lanarkshire, Scotland ¹.). The cause of his death was shock from fall of fifty feet.

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was James McIntosh. The witnesses were Joseph McConville and Mary Jane McCormick.

Henry McConville was a pit readyman of 21 years. He was unmarried and lived on the Square of Faskine in the parish of Old Monkland. His mother was deceased.

Ellen McCormick was a 17 year old factory hand. She was unmarried and lived at New Row, Faskine.

The marriage was registered on 19 July 1870 at Airdrie, the registrar William Whyte.
