Jane married Thomas CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Link), son of Hugh CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Linked) and Rebecca ADAMS (DNA Linked), on 31 December 1906 in North Esk Manse, Musselburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland.¹ (Thomas CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Link) was born on 15 June 1862 in Crichton, Midlothian, Scotland ^{4 5} and died 17 May 1932 at 11.30 pm in Morrison's Haven, Prestonpans, East Lothian, Scotland ^{2 6}.). The cause of his death was effects of cerebral haemorrhage over 21 days.

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. George Gordon Tait was the minister who married the couple. The witnesses were Walter Orr and Alice Rooney.

Thomas Cairns was a widower of 45 years of age. He was a colliery pumpman by occupation and lived at 8 Forth View, Wallyford, Inveresk. His father was deceased.

Jane Murray was 42 years old and single. She was a factory worker who lived at 146 High Street, Musselburgh. Both of her parents were deceased.

The marriage was registered at Musselburgh on 7 January 1907, William Robson being the signing registrar. ³
