General Notes: When Thomas Cairns died in Prestonpans in 1932, his death certificate recorded him as 'married to Jane Murray'. 2 Jane married Thomas CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Link), son of Hugh CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Linked) and Rebecca ADAMS (DNA Linked), on 31 December 1906 in North Esk Manse, Musselburgh, Edinburgh, Scotland.1 (Thomas CURRAN OR CAIRNS (DNA Link) was born on 15 June 1862 in Crichton, Midlothian, Scotland 4 5 and died 17 May 1932 at 11.30 pm in Morrison's Haven, Prestonpans, East Lothian, Scotland 2 6.). The cause of his death was effects of cerebral haemorrhage over 21 days. Marriage Notes: The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. George Gordon Tait was the minister who married the couple. The witnesses were Walter Orr and Alice Rooney. |
