Jean married Gilbert KENNEDY of Bargany, son of Thomas KENNEDY of Bargany and Agnes MONTGOMERIE, on 6 January 1596.¹ (Gilbert KENNEDY of Bargany was born about 1561 and died on 11 December 1601 in Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"Jean or Anna, married (contract dated at Holyroodhouse 6 January 1596) to Gilbert Kennedy, apparent heir of Thomas Kennedy of Bargany. She died, a widow, at Stilton, when returning from London, and was buried at Ballantrae."

"Gilbert, his (Thomas Kennedy's) eldest son, who married Janet, daughter of Andrew, Lord Ochiltree. He was killed at the skirmish of Brockloch, near Lady Corse, at Maybole, by Lord Cassillis friends, on 11th December 1601. He was succeeded by his son Thomas."
