Gerald married Mary McALEAVY, daughter of Matthew McALEAVY and Rose FEELY, on 23 December 1952 in St Mary's RC Church, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Mary McALEAVY was born 9 September 1895 at 3.00 am in 29 Church Street, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland and died 1 March 1975 at 3.30 pm in 15 Hartwood Road, Hartwood, Lanarkshire, Scotland ².). The cause of her death was broncho pneumonia and senility.

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church. Alexander Hamilton, RC clergyman at St Mary's RC Church Hamilton was the celebrant. The witnesses were John and Maureen Donnelly of 141 Stanmore Road Glasgow.

Gerald Diamond was a widower aged 58 years. He was a weightsman in a steel works, and lived at 115 Thornburn Avenue Bellshill. His parents were deceased.

Mary McLeavy or Curran was 57 years old and widowed. She lived at 11 Kenmar Terrace Hamilton. No occupation for her was noted. Her parents were both deceased.
