General Notes: In the birth certificate of his daughter Rose in 1928, Denis Curran was recorded as the informant of the birth. He was a colliery repairer. Denis married Mary McALEAVY, daughter of Matthew McALEAVY and Rose FEELY, on 15 July 1922 in RC Chapel, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Mary McALEAVY was born 9 September 1895 at 3.00 am in 29 Church Street, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland and died 1 March 1975 at 3.30 pm in 15 Hartwood Road, Hartwood, Lanarkshire, Scotland 2.). The cause of her death was broncho pneumonia and senility. Marriage Notes: The marriage took place after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was William McAvoy, Catholic clergyman of St Mary's Hamilton. The witnesses were Edward Curran of 5 Field Street Low Waters Hamilton, and Mary Mullen of 76 Townhead Street Hamilton. |
