General Notes: The 1911 census for Bothwell parish, Holytown district, recoded Richard with his wife and two children living at Cross Roads, Laurieville, which seems to have been in the Newhouse area of Lanarkshire. he was 38 years old, had been born in the parish, and worked as a hewer in the collliery. 3 Richard married Margaret ROURKE, daughter of John ROURKE and Ann RENNY, on 22 September 1895 in Chapelhall, Holytown district, Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Margaret ROURKE was born on 31 December 1864 in Shotts parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland 2.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the forms of the Roman Catholic Church, John Macdonald being the celebrant. The witnesses were Hugh Trainer and Maggie McGunigal. |
