Lachlan married Margaretha UNKNOWN, daughter of First husband UNKNOWN and Catharina LOSSNER, in 1794.1 (Margaretha UNKNOWN was born about 1765.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Thomas (Cuming, of Demerara) had already been joined in Demerara by another Cuming, from the same Moray parish of Dallas - Lachlan [Cuming]. Lachlan's father, Patrick (Peter) Cumming was a half-brother of Thomas's father. In a place where many died of fever, family relationships often became complex. In 1794 Lachlan married Catherine Lossner's daughter from her first marriage, Margaretha, who was herself already a widow."
