  Marriage Notes:

'Described as son of Duncan M'Condochie Grant in Gartinbeg. He is mentioned in the retour of his great grandson, Patrick Grant of Inverlaidnan, as brother of John Grant Beg of Gartinbeg. As Duncan M'Condoch Grant is said to have been twice married, and John Beg to have been a son of the second marriage, an heir to an elder brother in Gartinbeg, this Sueton Grant may also have been of the second marriage. Sueton or Swene Grant is said to have married Jane Shaw. " The executors and relict of Swene Grant in Inverlaidnan " are mentioned in the testament of James Grant in Inverlaidnan, 3d September 1666. That relict mav have been a second wife. He appears to have had two sons.'
