"Janet Sutherland, daughter of the above William Sutherland of Duffus, married John Hay of Lochloy and Park ; he died 1598, she died 1587, and their remains were interred at Auldearn, with an inscription still to be seen on a monument in the chancel of the cathedral of that town.
